Mr Ahmed is a retired Member (Customs & VAT) of NBR and served the government of Bangladesh for more than 3 decades. He is widely recognized as an outstanding officer of BCS (Customs and VAT) cadre in Bangladesh. Mr Ahmed was also President of Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal- the highest judicial authority in resolving Customs and VAT related cases.
